SOME time ago I had an argument with a deluded pal about who had the biggest bottom in rugby league (stick with me here).
He said Keiron Cunningham; I said Karl Pryce.
After watching a rather larger version of Cunningham trundling around in the opening two games of the season, I feared my pal may be right.
However all has been revealed as to why and it’s another one of those ‘only in rugby league’ scenarios.
According to Saints coach Daniel Anderson Cunningham is behind in training after a series of bizarre incidents.
He was firstly involved in a road accident in which his car was written off. That put him out of training for 17 days and he then had emergency dental surgery.
And finally, Anderson says: “He was putting together one of those whizz-bang toys after Christmas when his knee locked and he had knee surgery.”
Anderson doesn’t say what the whizz-bang toy was or if indeed it was for Cunningham, his children..or James Graham.
Either way I’d like to see what kind of whizz-bang toy stopped him. Expect to see them cropping up on the defending goal-lines of teams visiting Knowsley Road this season.

Keiron may have largest arse in RL but there's a few Welsh union players (yes you Duncan - or Adam - Jones) who have him banged to rights. No doubt Shaun will try to sort that out tho,
